AHANA Summer Stipend Recipient Experience

by Sarah Kwoleck, Class of 2012

This past summer I was an intern at Walden Media, a major film production and publishing company specializing in family friendly entertainment with an educational twist. As a Marketing major, it was an invaluable opportunity to be able to personally assist in the promotion and advertising efforts of their upcoming movie, “The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader,” and their upcoming documentary, “Waiting for Superman.” I worked with 5 exceptionally talented interns and received priceless guidance and instruction on the business of the entertainment industry, ultimately affirming my convictions regarding my future career path and making this internship an irreplaceable experience.

Each year, five internship stipends for up to $3,200 are awarded to Boston College AHANA students who  do full-time, unpaid summer internships. For more information about the AHANA Summer Internship Grant, check the Resources for AHANA Students website.
